The Department for Environment and Heritage (DEH) has released a cycling policy and rock climbing and abseiling policy explaining where these activities are allowed in South Australia’s parks and reserves.
DEH Recreation and Tourism Planner Barry Hayden said the new policies are about balancing park protection with health and recreation.
“We want to encourage people to use our parks but we want to make sure animal habitats and native vegetation are protected,” he said.
