Recently, students at Stirling East Primary School were involved in the Chess Kids National Interschool Chess Championships.
These students were successful in the regional finals and battled against 10 other schools from across South Australia, attempting to strategise their way to a place in the national finals at Monash University in Victoria later this year.

The Mount Barker Waldorf School will be on show this year as a Carbon Neutral and ecologically sustainable annual Spring Fair on Saturday, October 25.

Mount Pleasant Primary School is showing local schools and families the way in water conservation, after being awarded a 27,000 litre Pioneer Galaxy rainwater tank through the BlueScope Tank a Day Challenge.

Parents should not choose schools based on academic league tables, according to the publisher of Australia’s leading directories to schools.
Christina Landis, who publishes the online Private Schools Directory and Australian Schools Directory said parents should take into account a range of qualities when selecting a school.
